ICYMI: Celebrate the NHS birthday !

Celebrate the NHS birthday with us

The NHS is having a birthday on Tuesday 5 July and we can’t think of a better day to celebrate the NHS workforce and talk about careers in the NHS!

Busting the myths

We know you know this, but please keep raising awareness with your students and clients that:
  • there are more than 350 NHS careers to choose from
  • they can start an NHS career at any time that’s right for them
  • they don’t always need a degree, but financial support is available if a degree profession is right for them
  • apprenticeships are available at all levels and you're never too old to start one
  • they can provide hands-on care for patients or make a difference behind the scenes
Don’t take our word for it though...

Celebrating NHS careers

Join us on our YouTube channel at 5.30pm on Tuesday 5 July to hear first hand from an apprentice administrator, a paediatric physiotherapist and a trainee physical sciences bioinformatician. They’ll be discussing what they do, how they got in, the tips they have for people just like your students and clients, and taking questions in real time.See you there! The session will be available to watch back later too.

Keeping in touch

If you don’t already, make sure you follow us on Twitter and our other social platforms to hear the latest NHS careers updates and details of resources and events.Keep an eye on the Health Careers website and remember  students  can get in touch with us direct too by calling 0345 60 60 655 or emailing advice@healthcareers.nhs.uk Best wishes for a happy NHS birthday,The NHS Health Careers team
