Apply to Cambridge

   This is j ust a reminder, this programme is still open to applications and students have until  midnight on Friday 18 th  June   to apply.   Apply: Cambridge is a specialist and free programme designed to support highly able students from underrepresented backgrounds and areas to make successful applications to the University of Cambridge. The programme will be delivered by Cambridge staff and admissions tutors who will be sharing their expertise on the application process. We will work with your students every step of the way over a 6-month period, helping them to navigate the process and effectively prepare for their Cambridge application. The programme will be delivered entirely online and will run from 19 July 2021 until the end of January 2022.  Opportunities for Younger Year Groups/ Multiple Year Groups · Year 9: Downing College Taster Webinar, 24 March o An introduction to Higher Education for students in Year 9, including exploration of ‘future choices’.  o https://www.dow.cam.ac.uk/outreach/year-9-university-taster-webinar -   application deadline 23 March. · Trinity College: Litmus Creative Writing Project, Year 9-11 o The Litmus Creative Writing Project 2021, in collaboration with renowned author Ali Smith, is an opportunity for year 9-11 students currently attending a state school (or on a full scholarship to a fee-paying school) to submit a short piece of writing of under 500 words in poetry, prose or any other format (including artwork) based around a theme for publication. There will also be free creative writing workshops in the last two weeks of February during which students at participating schools will have the opportunity to try new things, learn techniques and gain confidence.  o For more ...
