An exciting new collection of resources, created in collaboration with Tesco,

have just been announced for National Apprenticeship Week 2026!

As an added bonus, these exciting resources aren't just relevant to this week,

they can continue to be used the rest of the school year too.

Get to know Tesco's new versatile Classroom Challenge Collection resources!

Activities could be completed on paper by using the student activity sheet, on a board or screen using the slide deck and optional flashcards, or as a class or independently using the online game.

DON'T FORGET: STRONGER STARTS PROGRAMME IS OPEN NOW

Tesco’s Stronger Starts apprenticeship programme is open, offering two fantastic apprenticeship pathways for young people in Retail and Maintenance.

Applications are open for vacancies in selected locations across England.

Stronger Starts is a brilliant opportunity for young people to kickstart a career in retail or maintenance, gain skills, enjoy a great starting salary, and receive lots of support and coaching along the way.

THE ROLES

Maintenance Apprenticeships

Apprentices will work alongside earning a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative qualification – equivalent to 5 GCSE passes. The 18-month programme sets you up with the skills you need for everyday duties in maintenance jobs. 

 

Retail Apprenticeships

Retail apprentices will gain a Level 2 National Standard in Retail qualification, hands-on experience of how a store operates, and the opportunity to experience different roles and tasks across the store.
