Creative Media

🎬 What is CRE8?

CRE8 delivers a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media (equivalent to 3 A Levels), where students learn through real projects, live briefs, and industry-style experiences.

Assessment is coursework and portfolio-based, with no traditional exams, allowing students to focus on developing practical skills and producing high-quality creative work.

This is not a traditional classroom course.

At CRE8, students don’t just study creativity — they practise it professionally.

🚀 What Students Will Learn

Students develop a broad, industry-relevant creative skillset across:

  • Content Creation & Digital Media Production

  • Video Production, Editing & Motion

  • Photography & Visual Storytelling

  • Design & Visual Communication (Graphic, Branding, Digital, 3D & Spatial)

  • Social Media, Marketing & Advertising

  • Creative Direction & Project Management

Alongside this, students build essential professional skills including communication, problem-solving, creative thinking, and professional behaviours.

🏟️ A Unique Creative Environment

CRE8 Maldon will be delivered from Drewitt-Barlow Stadium, home of Maldon & Tiptree FC - a unique and inspiring environment that combines real-world context with creative learning.

While the stadium provides exciting opportunities within sport and live events, the programme itself is not limited to sports pathways.

Students will explore and develop work across the full creative sector, including areas such as film, design, marketing, music, fashion, events, and digital media.

From day one, students will:

  • Work in a professional, real-world environment

  • Create content across a range of industries and themes

  • Develop industry-relevant workflows and practices

  • Build a high-quality, portfolio-ready body of work

The stadium provides an inspiring setting — while the skills developed are fully transferable across the entire creative industry.

🤝 Industry Collaboration & Real-World Experience

A key part of the CRE8 experience is working beyond the classroom through professional collaborations and real-world opportunities.

Students will have opportunities to:

  • Work on projects linked to real organisations, clubs, and brands

  • Gain experience through live briefs and industry-style challenges

  • Create content in a variety of real-world environments

  • Engage with professionals across sectors including film, music, sport, marketing, events, and digital media

🎯 Career Pathways

Students can progress into a wide range of creative industries, including:

Film • Marketing • Social Media • Design • Photography
Sports Media • Fashion • Music • Events • Business • Real Estate

Students shape their projects and portfolio around their own interests and future career goals.
