What are HTQ's

HTQs are post-18, level 4 and 5 qualifications that you can study at colleges, universities or other training providers. They have been approved by employers as delivering the skills they need because they are high-quality, job-focused qualifications.

This Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQ) course listing includes the full list of HTQ options throughout England, correct as of 17th March 2025.

The qualifications in this listing are organised by Occupational Route (subject area), making it easy to search for courses relevant to your area of interest. As all providers will display their courses in different ways, a link to the provider’s website is listed, allowing you to then navigate to the HTQs they offer. Make sure you look out for the HTQ logo, so you know it is an employer-approved course.
