Horseracing is the second largest spectator sport in the UK, supporting over 85,000 jobs. There are so many different careers available from working directly with horses in a racing yard or stud farm to running large events at racecourses and race meetings. British Horseracing Development Programme This Programme, which has been running for over 30 years, provides an invaluable source of talent to the sport of Horseracing. Applications open each November and close at the end of February. The Programme starts with a free two week residential introduction course and is followed by paid placements for at least 8 weeks over the Summer. It is suitable for candidates who have completed Degrees, Higher Apprenticeships or have equivalent skills and capabilities. |
