Arkwright Engineering Scholarships

Please find below and attached details of the Arkwright Engineering Scholarship programme, which is now open for applications from students in Year 11.

Here’s some more details about the programme:

An Arkwright Engineering Scholarship is the most esteemed scholarship of its type in the UK, designed to inspire students to pursue their dreams and change the world as a future leader in engineering. Now in its 30th year, our Scholarship programme supports hard-working STEM students, giving them a real insight into the exciting world of engineering.

Students apply in Year 11 (S4 Scotland / Year 12 NI) completing an online application, exam and interview. If successful, students are then awarded their scholarship at the start of Year 12 (S5 Scotland / Year 13 NI). The scholarship supports students through their final two years of school, giving them access to a range of unique enrichment opportunities and benefits including:

  • A £600 financial bonus to fund technical or curriculum-based projects, the purchase of equipment and additional courses
  • Professional mentoring and networking opportunities with industry experts, providing practical advice and guidance with technical projects, further study and career pathways
  • Nationally recognised Scholarship certification to enhance university, apprenticeship and future job applications
  • A £400 donation to schools of successful applicants, which they can utilise for STEM events and resources to benefit students

Applications are now open for 2022 Scholarships and will close on Friday 14th January. Visit arkwright.org.uk to learn more.
