Free mentoring programmes for potential Oxbridge students

  • Mentoring programme for underrepresented groups looking to attend Oxbridge:

Insight Outreach is a fast-developing social mobility charity that was launched in 2018 and focuses on educational inequality.  It runs the Oxford Mentoring Scheme (OMS), a free, highly structured 10-month mentoring programme which prepares students from underrepresented groups for their applications to Oxford and Cambridge Universities.  It is the only holistic mentoring syllabus of its kind, developing students academically and personally to build traits and behaviours for success in university studies, future careers, and life in general. On top of this, they also offer internships, supporting past students on their OMS programme in obtaining valuable work experience to support progression into future careers.

Here’s their website: https://www.insightoutreach.org/

Applications for this year’s OMS is closing in 4 days, but if there is plenty of interest they could extend the deadline for a few days.  Please contact  nik@insightoutreach.org to request an extension.
