Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprentice

Eol It Services LtdThe Apprentice IT Solutions Technician reports to the Operations Manager within his / her department and carries out daily tasks as requested by the Operations Line Manager. Daily tasks include secure data erasure, engineering ICT equipment and recording items onto the EOL IT Services database whilst under the supervision of the team leader.It is the responsibility of the Apprentice IT Solutions Technician to comply with all EOL IT Services policies, procedures and to strictly follow work instructions as directed by the Line Manager.
Day-to-day duties:

  • Awareness of security and reliability of EOL and customer related data and systems by complying with EOL IT Services policies and procedures
  • Report promptly to the IT department or Line Manager any incident which may have significance to EOL IT services security
  • Observe the working environment in order to recognise security risks which may affect the confidentiality, availability or integrity of EOL IT Services systems and report them to the Line Manager
  • Report non-conformances of the company’s policies and procedures
  • Report all incidents (spills, accidents, hazards)
  • Awareness of Health and Safety matters within the workplace
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S as directed by the  Operations Team Leader, Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager
  • Performing secure data erasure to EOL’s required standard whilst under supervision
  • Engineering / Fixing ICT Equipment whilst under supervision
  • Recording items onto the database whilst under supervision
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates in line with the needs of the business
  • To take part of technical and awareness training as and when required

Additional Information - Travel:

Site’s location is best accessed by car (instead of public transport) so this position would be ideal for those who can commute with a car.

Requirements:

You are required to have GCSE 9-4 grades or equivalent in English and Maths to apply for this type of apprenticeship. If you do not have these grades but have completed numeracy and literacy Key Skills / Functional Skills at level two you may also apply for these apprenticeships.

Eligibility:

You must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the role:

  • Ideally be 18 years or over
  • Have been a UK / EEA resident for the last 3 years
  • Hold valid residency status
  • Have the right to work in the UK

We have spoken to the HR Manager and they would be happy to take applications from school leavers - even though the vacancy states an April start. They would be happy with a start date after the end of the summer term
